Basic Red BBQ Sauce
Sauces are king in the kitchen. Meat is a staple. One can't survive without the other on the table. Talk about a boring bland existence. Actually, BBQ sauces were invented to hide the "gamey" taste that meat tends to have, depending on the season and the diet of the animal. We don't really worry about that anymore, unless we are eating wild game, but everyone can enjoy BBQ sauces anyway. They enhance any fare. To that end I present to you a Basic Red BBQ Sauce.
Basic Red BBQ Sauce
1 c. Onion, finely chopped
1/3 c. Olive Oil
1 1/2 c. Ketchup
1/2 c. Water
1/2 c. Lemon Juice
1/4 c. Sugar
1/4 c. Worcestershire Sauce
2 1/2 tsp. Salt (to taste)
1/2 tsp. Ground Black Pepper
4 drops Tabasco Sauce
Saute onion in saucepan. Add remaining ingredients, simmer about 15 minutes.

Hard boiling an egg seems like a no brainer, yet it can be a major challenge. Here is my secret for perfectly hard boiled eggs; Boil them! I boil them for 15 or 20 minutes and then remove the pan from the heat and just leave them until they are cool. If you are worried about disease or whatever, don't be. The mere act of boiling them kills everything.
